Maybe you have thought that perhaps you should start implementing strength training exercises into your workout routine ? Lots of people have gone further than just answering yes, and have in fact started to take some action. Most people never really think about it very seriously, just go on to something else… A great number of people don’t try because they do not know where to start. Others are turned off by how much work they think it could take. Others just see it as much too low a priority to be really worth bothering with.

Hold it!  Just wait a minute now… Are those really legitimate reasons? What favorable reasons were considered? Did both the Pro as well as the Con side get taken into consideration? The concerns were considered, but how about the benefits?

That should really be reconsidered. Maybe we should simply think about five good reasons to do strength training exercises and work those in to the decision process.

To start, a positive attitude. I hear what you are saying when you point out that that doesn’t have anything to do with a workout routine. I gladly concede that is a very good point. However we must also consider this, having the right attitude, is essential for a successful and productive strength training exercise routine. What’s more there is the reason that with a positive attitude, we are more likely to achieve the goals we set out for ourselves.

Second, stretching before and after your workouts. That is because a good strength training routine will promote flexibility if stretching is done before and after workouts. As one consequence of all that, your muscles will be less tense and you’ll perform better in all of your training exercises.

Third, eat a balanced diet. Additionally, never indulge in bad habits like smoking and heavy drinking!

Fourth, be creative and plan a solution if you miss a workout.

Last but not necessarily least, keep focused on what you want your body to look like. This will keep you motivated to continue with your strength training exercises. Put a “before” picture up somewhere that you will see every day to remind you of the consequences of slacking off.

You’ll want to analyse those reasons and mentally evaluate them. All those points strongly suggest that you should seriously consider researching ways to be successful with your strength training exercises.

Just roll that around in your mind for a bit.  Do you not think that maybe, just perhaps, you really ought to put yourself first for once ?
